Sensing Evolution is an iBeacon-powered scavenger hunt through the Oxford University Museum of Natural History around themes of Evolution.
Coinciding with a major refurbishment of the museum’s touchable object tables, the app challenges school groups, families and the public to find objects that represent a particular topic within evolution, view short videos about the objects and answer a short quiz about each.
The app was built with Backbone.js utilising PhoneGap plugins for iBeacon sensing, and compiled to iOS and Android.
