The Ashmolean Museum, the Museum of the History of Science, the Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum each hold distinct and fascinating collections to explore. The app presents featured objects from each museum, floor plans, and the latest exhibitions and events. In a future update, users will be able to collect and share their own favourite objects.
The app was built with Backbone.js and compiled to iOS and Android through PhoneGap. It pulls data from a bespoke backend CMS built in Django.
